E aloha mai iaʻu, e ke Akua,
     e aloha mai iaʻu:
No ka mea, ke hilinaʻi aku nei
     koʻu ʻuhane iā ʻoe:
ʻOiaʻiʻo ma ka malu o kou mau ʻeheu e kanāho ai au,
    a hala loa aku kēia mau mea pōʻino ai.

E kāhea aku au I ke Akua kiʻekiʻe loa,
     I ke Akua nānā I hana mai noʻu.
E hoʻouna mai no oia mai ka lani mai,
     A e hoʻopakele mai iaʻu I ka nuʻu ana o nā mea manaʻo e ale mai iaʻu.

E hoʻouna mai, e ke Akua, I kou aloha a me kou ʻoiaʻiʻo. E hāpai I aku ʻoe, e ke Akua, maluna o nā lani;
A o kou nani hoʻi maluna o ka honua apau.

Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me:
for my soul trusteth in thee:
Yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.
He shall send from heaven, and
save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up.
God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let thy glory be above all the earth.              King James version, alt.

Rain down on us your truth from skies above,
Give all your people your all-embracing love.
O God, rise now in your splendor,
