Antiphon:  Like a lamp in the darkness are the merciful and the upright.

1. The just are lights in darkness for good people; they are gracious, merciful and righteous. Blessed woman, blessed man, who fear the Lord and cherish God's commandments.
2. The just will never waiver; they will be remembered for ever. No fear they feel though evil news there be; their heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.
3. With steadfast hearts they will not fear. Open handed they give to the poor. Their justice stands firm for ever; their heads will be raised in glory.
