Jesus, bless us this evening; We are contrite, by you do we live.

2. Ke ho'opuni na pö'ino, ane e pa mai nä pua, mai iä 'oe na kia'i lani,
Näu mäkou e ho'omalu mai.
Perils abound, the children are at risk (near to being affected), from you comes heavenly protection,You are the one to shelter us.

1. O Jesus, come and grant your blessing and your spirit of peace impart. Bless us who trust in your mercy and the goodness of your heart.

2. Though the fears of all the world surround us, though the warring camps come near; you, with your angels, will protect us: we are safe from harm and fear.

3. And when our life on earth has ended and we await your final call, shine on us all of heaven's glory where your love unites us all.
