120. Lord, From the Depths I Cry to You
[Nā
Wahi Hohonu]
SJV: 281
1.
Lord, from the depths I cry to you, My supplication hear:
Lord, I, your patient servant plead
For your attentive ear.
2. If you, Lord, keep account of
sin. Who could hold up one's head?
But in you is forgiving love,
Therefore you are revered.
3.
I wait for God with eager eyes,
My hope is in God's word;
More than the watchmen wait for dawn
My
soul waits for the Lord.
4.
Let Israel hope still in the Lord, In him is constant love;
For God that servant will redeem
And
ev'ry sin remove.
