As the deer that yearns for the running water, I thirst for you, my God, I thirst for the living God. 1. I thirst for you, my God, O when shall I see your face? My tears become my food through the day, through the night, my God, as I hear them say; "Where is, tell me, where is your God?" Antiphon 2. I yearn to join the throng that enters the house of the Lord; caught up with all the crowd singing glad songs of thankfulness, as I hear them say; "Let's enter the house of our God!" Antiphon 3. Send me your light and truth, for these will escort me to the holy mountain, to your holy dwelling place, as I come before your home, to the place where you dwell. Antiphon 4. I will approach that place, the altar of God, Most High; my God of deepest joy, my God of deepest love, as I praise you with my music, my songs of thanks.
