"You Keep Your Promise" [Hoʻolehua]
from "Hawaiian Psalms
ʻEkahi (Volume I)"
by Robert M. Mondoy [103]
You keep your promise, filling our land
with wonder, you are the hope of all the earth and its distant islands
Me nā mea kupanaha
i loko i ka pono ʻO ʻoe kamanaʻolana
nō nā wēlau honua
1. You care for the earth, you give it water, you fill it with riches. Your
river in heaven brims over living streams that nourish all of the bounty of our
land. Antiphon
2. And thus you provide the earth and drench its
furrows with kindness. Your life and your power shine forth in gentle winds that
shower, blessing the bounty of our land. Antiphon
3. You crown the
year with your goodness, plenty and gen`rous your harvest. Our hills are all
covered with gladness, shouting for joy and singing, praising the kindness of
our God. Antiphon
