He does not treat us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our faults. 2. Like a parent, compassionate to children, full of goodness to those who fear him. He knows of what we are made. He remembers that we are but dust. 3. As for us our days are but grass, like the blossoms of the field, we flower; the wind blows over us, and ends our days of bloom, and our place never sees us again. 4. But the love of the Lord is everlasting, full of goodness to those who fear him. His justice reaches out to every generation when they keep his covenant and his will in heart.
