"How Blessed Are You" [Kalākaua]
from "Hawaiian Psalms
ʻEkahi (Volume I)"
by Robert M. Mondoy [17, 776.5]
How blessed are you, how blessed are you, who fear the Lord, and walk
his way of truth
Pōmaikaʻi ʻoukou
i makaʻu iā Iāue,
a hele nō i ke ala pono ona
1. Blessed are the ones who fear the Lord and walk in his ways. By the labor of
your hands shall you eat, for the Lord will bless you with prosperity and bless
you with his goodness, and bless you with his goodness. Antiphon
2. There a wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the heart of her own home;
there the children shall be like olive shoots around the table of your own home;
God give you all his kindness, God give you all his kindness. Antiphon
3. May the Lord bless you always from his seat set in Zion, may you look upon
your childrenʻs children in the happy city of Jerusalem; God give you joy all
your days, God give you joys all your days. Antiphon
