1. Answering pleas from distant islands, breaking the silence others expressed. Eager to take a path not taken, for the forsaken and dispossessed. 2. Venturing forth, crossing an ocean, filled with devotion for the oppressed. Facing disease, she did not fear it; her strength of spirit welcomed the test.
