1. The Savior's voice rang true and clear    And Marianne did heed the call;
With courage and Franciscan cheer    She followed Christ and gave her all.

We offer now our thankful praise,   Rejoicing in God's saving plan;
A sign of God's love for us raised:   The heart of our Saint Marianne.

2. She chose to go and bear Christ's light  To far-off shores beyond the sea;
Not race, nor creed, nor blinded sight  Could halt her trust and bravery.

3. Undaunted, moved by God's own grace,  With kindness and humility,
She served with joy and gentle pace,  With justice and integrity.

4. And unafraid to seek God's own  In outcast, leprous, and abhorred
The wounded body, lonely soul   For her was Christ, her love, her Lord.

5. For Christ's compassion marked her way;  A ministry lived faithfully,
Of selfless giving night and day   She served with love and charity.
